The internet movie Zeitgeist Part-1 Exposed

Hello, I'm Richard Rives, author of the book "Too Long in the Sun" and "Time is the Ally of Deceit"
Recently, I was asked to review Part 1 of an internet movie by the name of Zeitgeist - a multipart video presentation that according to its website was created to communicate what the author felt were highly important social understandings which most humans are generally not aware of.
As Zeitgeist is an internet movie it is only appropriate that we should look to an internet encyclopedia for a definition of that term. According to Wikipedia, the word Zeitgeist is a German language expression literally translated: Zeit, or time and Geist, or spirit, meaning "the spirit of the age and its society". We are told that the word zeitgeist describes the intellectual, cultural, ethical and political climate, ambiance and moral of an era, or also a trend.
Using philosophical terms to describe Zeitgeist, the article also speaks of a "World Spirit," "the unlimited universal spirit."
The Zeitgeist movie represents a significant challenge to traditional Christianity in that it properly identifies many aspects of Traditional Christian theology as common mythological precepts. Most theologians know that, yet they continue to present a gospel based on the traditions of men rather than on the Character of Yeshua of Nazareth, Jesus Christ. Theologians have thrown truth in the street as a gesture of religious tolerance and compromise. They have given the adversaries of Scripture exactly what they need to substantiate their claims that major components of Traditional Christianity are nothing more than redefined pagan precepts.
According to D.M. Murdock (Acharya S.), the scholar who provided data for the movie Zeitgeist, Jesus is a mythological character who never existed. Her assumption is based on the fact that many attributes that have been falsely associated with Jesus can be traced directly to pagan sun worship. Evidently she has chosen to believe and present the lies of the theologians in support of her premise. Interestingly, the name that Ms Murdock has chosen as a pseudonym - Acharya S. - can be traced directly to eastern mysticism - a religious teacher - a guru - one who is to be followed, and believe it or not many Christians are abandoning their long held beliefs and following her as a result of her esoteric philosophy. First century believers would have known better. Not only did they have the faith of Jesus but they kept the commandments of God, which preclude any association with paganism.
The Bible warns of philosophy and vain deceit that would lead us away from Christ. Zeitgeist the movie can be described in no better terms. Let's take a look at a few of the questionable aspects of Traditional Christianity that are addressed by Acharya S.
Ms. Murdock speaks of December 25th, and attempts to associate that date with Jesus. The truth is that December 25th is never mentioned in the Bible. Just as she states it can be traced directly to pagan sun worship centuries before the time of Christ. December 25th never had anything to do with Jesus. It seems that events which made way for the recognition of December 25th as the birthday of Jesus can be traced back to the third century A.D. over two hundred years after the birth of Christ. At that time the Roman Emperor Aurelian brought the worship of Baal back to Rome when he defeated the Palmyrenes. Baal or Bal the very same pagan god we read about in the Old Testament was worshipped in Rome at that time along with other sun gods. At that time Aurelian associated all the sun gods with the invincible sun and they began to be recognized by the title Sol Invictus - the invincible sun. How was he able to accomplish that? December 25 the supposed birthday of the sun gods was declared to be that of Sol Invictus. Later in the fourth century during the reign of Constantine attributes of Sol Invictus were accepted as those of Christ, including December 25th.

Ms. Murdock is right about December 25th, but she is wrong about the Jesus of the Bible. Neither He nor his disciples would have had anything to do with the celebration of the birthday of the sun gods of antiquity. Theologians know that but because they have failed to say so they are now challenged by their own misleading doctrine.
Zeitgeist attempts to associate pagan narratives with those found in the Bible regarding Jesus. Acharya states that the mythological character Jesus is an amalgam of 20 mythological characters - a myth from the beginning. What we are not being told is that there many different versions of each myth. By picking and choosing the producers of Zeitgeist present selected parts of mythological accounts and somehow fail to tell us "the REST of the Story."
The Jesus of the Bible said that Moses wrote of Him. The New Testament plainly states that Jesus was the Creator and all throughout the Old Testament we read that the very precepts that Zeitgeist attempts to associate with Him were considered to be abominations. Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah of Israel would have never have had anything to do with them.
An attempt is also made to associate Jesus with Easter and the worship of the fertility goddess. While being right about the pagan nature of Easter, once again they are wrong about Jesus. The Jesus of the Bible was not crucified at the time of Easter. The Bible never says that. He was crucified at the time of Passover. It was almost three hundred years after the birth of Christ before the Council of Nicaea set that date. Even then, what they did was actually change the date for the observance of Passover. Theologians know that and so do the producers of Zeitgeist.
In interviews, Ms.
Murdock speaks of
many pagan gods
including Horus,
Searpis and Mithra.
She talks about the
abominable worship
of Tammuz that the
Old Testament
condemns. She
attempts to somehow
associate those gods
with Jesus. She is
right about the
Jesus being
presented by most
theologians but she
is wrong about the
Jesus of the Bible.
The Bible never
associates Christ
with pagan precepts.
It is the
theologians who have
done so, and many
scholars, impressed
with their
credentials, have
believed their lies.

The Bible tells us
that the fear of the
LORD is the
beginning of wisdom
and that those who
keep His
commandments will
have a good
understanding. How
can we know who our
Creator really is?
His has given us an
unchanging sign -
the seventh day
sabbath. That is the
identifying sign
that theologians,
and the scholars who
believe them, will
never be able to
associate with
SunDay gods no
matter how hard they
try.
The inventions of
theologians are no
challenge for
Zeitgiest. That is
why they focus on
tradition rather
than what the Bible
really says - for
over and over again
archaeological
findings have proven
the Bible to be an
extremely accurate
record of historical
events.
In conclusion it
must be said that
Zeitgeist is right
about many things
when challenging the
traditions of
theologians.
According to the
Biblical record,
they are dead wrong
about Jesus.
